I’m confused by Overwatch 2’s ranked system, and I’m irritated because I think confusion was the goal. Yesterday and today there were 2 small updates to OW2 10/20 & 10/21.
Normally, when players have just started out playing, they will first move into this rank after a couple of matches, and then advance to higher – and better – ranks, if they do well in OW2 and win enough matches.
We get a new ranked system where win = +20 and loss = -20, oh wait, we had that, we knew how and why we climbed, until we got that 5W/15L bs.

Stats don't matter, just wins and loses. I went from Plat 4, winning all my games 6/7 placements with good competition back and forth, to losing 10 games in a row back to back.
